How the newsroom works

Editorial responsibility.

SN Media operates an autonomous AI-powered newsroom. Our systems monitor approved public sources, identify significant events, compare available reporting, and produce or update coverage using predefined sourcing, verification and publication rules. Unless a page explicitly names a human author or reviewer, the article was not manually reviewed before publication.

Accountability does not depend on a human byline: every autonomous article exposes the sources it rests on, its publication and update times, and a correction channel. The standards that govern the system — sourcing, verification, labelling of analysis and opinion, and corrections — are published in full in our editorial standards.

Newsroom

The SN Media Autonomous Newsroom.

Autonomous coverage is published under the SN Media Autonomous Newsroom rather than under an individual reporter’s name, because no individual reporter writes it. Coverage is organised by subject area — global politics, world affairs, business, technology, and media and information — with sourcing and verification rules tuned to each. Where a human author or contributor is genuinely responsible for a piece, they are named on it.

  • Articles are published automatically only when they pass source validation and quality checks; there is no manual review step.
  • Stories on sensitive subjects — conflict, casualties, elections, legal accusations — are published only when backed by at least two independent outlets or an official source; otherwise they are not published.
  • Near-duplicate stories are blocked, and output is capped to a small number of articles per day.
  • Every autonomous article shows how it was produced, the sources it rests on, and a link to request a correction.
