These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the SN Media website and its content (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Site.

These Terms apply alongside our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated by reference. Where a specific service or feature has its own terms, those additional terms also apply.

SN Media publishes news, analysis, opinion and interviews on politics, business, world affairs and the media. Our content is provided for general information and public-interest purposes.

We produce our journalism to the standards set out on our Editorial Standards page, and we use AI-assisted systems, supervised by editors, as part of how we monitor sources and draft coverage. We describe that openly there. Read our editorial standards.

Analysis and opinion reflect the views of their authors and are labelled as such. Content is not intended as, and should not be relied upon as, professional, legal, financial, medical or investment advice. See our Disclaimer for details.

You may read, share and link to our content for personal, non-commercial use. When you use the Site, you agree that you will not:

• use the Site in any way that breaks the law or infringes the rights of others;
• copy, republish, sell or systematically extract our content beyond what these Terms or the law permit;
• use automated tools to scrape, harvest or mine the Site or its data without our written permission;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to, interfere with, or disrupt the Site or its infrastructure;
• introduce malware, or use the Site to transmit unlawful, misleading or harmful material;
• misrepresent your affiliation with SN Media or any person.

We may suspend or restrict access to the Site for anyone who breaches these Terms.

All content on the Site — including articles, images, graphics, logos, the SN Media name and the design of the Site — is owned by SN Media or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws.

You may quote short extracts of our articles for the purposes of reporting, review or commentary, provided you attribute SN Media and link to the original where possible. Any other reproduction, distribution or commercial use requires our prior written permission.

Some images and materials are used under licence or under fair-use / fair-dealing principles and remain the property of their respective owners, who are credited where required.

If you send us content — for example a message through our contact form, a tip, a correction or material offered for publication — you confirm that you have the right to share it, and you grant SN Media a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it in connection with the publication and its reporting.

We are not obliged to publish, use or return anything you submit, and we may edit submissions for length, clarity and accuracy. Please do not send confidential information you do not want us to hold.

The Site links to third-party websites and sources so you can trace our reporting and read further. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices. Following an external link is at your own discretion.

We work hard to keep our journalism accurate, current and available, but the Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the content is complete, accurate or up to date at all times. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SN Media, its owners, editors, contributors and providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Site or its content.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

You agree to indemnify SN Media against any claims, losses or costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your infringement of any third party’s rights.

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the Site at any time, and we may update these Terms to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The version published on this page, with the effective date shown above, is the version that applies. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the place of SN Media’s establishment, and the courts there will have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have where you live.
